eZ Platform Developer documentation update

Hello everyone.

I was wondering how is being updated ezplatform developer documentation webpage. There are some sections that contain errors.

To access the Back Office of your installation, append /admin to its path: /admin. You will be prompted for the username and password, which by default are:

username: admin

password: publish

AFAIK /admin is /ez

The back office image is outdated too.

Best regards.

Hello Hugo,

The documentation can be found on GitHub, see https://doc.ezplatform.com/en/2.2/community_resources/documentation/.

You can report something on Slack https://ezcommunity.slack.com/messages/C0H8ATK9Q/ , on the #documentation-contrib channel, or here of course. As the doc is on GitHub, you can also send in a pull request.

Regards, Robin

Hi @hugospock!

We try to update the documentation as much as possible (new features, updates, release notes). It’s part of our process.

All the documentation pages are on github :arrow_forward: https://github.com/ezsystems/developer-documentation. Feel free to submit a pull request. Do not hesitate to ping us, we are here to help.

To clarify:

Hi Sylvain.

How can I know which ezplatform version is installed.
The installation was made on Aug 2 - 2018 (some weeks ago) and the back office access is /ez not /admin.

Thank you very much Robin. I’ll check Slack soon.

Hi @hugospock
There is an easy way to know on which main version you are: the design of the interface

eZ Platform v1.x:

eZ Platform v2.x:

I’m definitively using V1.x

I did follow composer instructions except the ^2 option, because it threw an error. Cannot remember exactly the error right now.

I’ll install again a fresh one ez platform clean :man_facepalming:

It’s an excellent opportunity to recheck the entire project and how we organized the class content.

Best regards and thank you very much @sylvain.guittard / @robinmuilwijk for the answers.

Reinstalling with version ^2 (according documentation) threw error again:

./composer.phar create-project --keep-vcs ezsystems/ezplatform ezplatform ^2
